The three modes, with your costs

Sea

  • Full container (FCL): the engine picks the container, or the combination, that covers the volume at the price you have configured.
  • Sea groupage (LCL): price per m³.
  • Shipping line surcharges: THC (terminal handling), BAF (bunker fuel) and CAF (currency).
  • The customer enters the ports and whether they want a full container or groupage.

Air

  • Price per kilo, with air waybill (AWB) and handling.
  • Chargeable weight: the highest of actual weight, volumetric weight and the minimum chargeable weight in your rate card.
  • The customer enters the airports and the weight.

International road

  • Tolls, ferry, vignette and overnight stops per country, plus permits.
  • The customer enters the countries.

What makes an international move more expensive, also calculated

  • Customs at origin and destination: handling fees, a charge on the declared value, inspection and documents. Within the EU there is no clearance; outside the EU (United Kingdom, Morocco, USA…) there is.
  • Country rules: operational surcharge and warnings about the paperwork the destination requires. Muvly warns you; the procedure is yours.
  • Dangerous goods (ADR), if you have them priced.
  • Cargo insurance: premium and deductible on the declared value the customer enters.
  • Predefined zones and routes for your usual lanes.

Muvly adds up the items you have in your rate card: what you do not configure is not included.

The assistant knows it is international

If origin and destination are in different countries, it does not ask: it requests only what that mode needs. And it works in seven languages, useful when the person writing is a foreign customer or a corporate relocation.
